NEW YORK, NEW YORK-OUCH!

It seems playing in the city of New York, the world wants to emulate you, then beat you! If you look at the glory that is the Big City, Gotham, the Big Apple, you see champions that come to play. They play mostly on the Yankees and Giants, but other teams have had their share too. The biggest problem in NY sports is the health factor, or so it seems.

The Knicks are on a run for a playoff and possible division lead, when what happens in a crucial juncture? One of their best players Amar’e Stoudemire goes down possibly for the rest of the season with a disc that is bulging.

Look at the Yankees, they lose Joba Chamberlain to a freakish accident on a trampoline, and it doesn’t look good for at least July. The Mets, Santana hasn’t pitched since 2010, David Wright is hoping to come back from a torn oblique muscle, and Chris Young another casualty that ended his season early last year, continues to plague the team.

Now can Carmelo Anthony step up and lead the team?

PARCELLS RETURNS

In his quest to coach every team in the NFL and maybe Canada, Bill Parcells has the world wondering what city is next on his itinerary? Looks like New Orleans is next, as the coach and leadership awaits the end of suspensions for coaches and GM hiring hit-men with contracts out on opposing quarterbacks and running backs.

Do the Saints need his genius to stay competitive this coming season? My guess is they really don’t, that somehow, things will work out.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

The UNC March Madness march has ended! The parade has halted before the end of the route. Another ‘pick’ is unpicked and deposited in the over-ripened heap. Like Syracuse and Michigan State and not to mention Duke, there are no real ‘faves’ for the March Madness. In this competition, this second season, things will happen. Cinderella stories can come true.

That’s all I wrote, folks!
