D’ANTONI RESIGNS

MIKE D'ANTONI

I can’t say I told you so, but I can say it doesn’t surprise me that Coach D’Antoni resigned, on his own.

The question here is why?

The answer here is Dolan, not Carmelo Anthony. Since June the Knicks have lost both Donnie Walsh and now D’Antoni, and all because the media has had a frenzy on the Isiah Thomas rumors that he would be back as GM, a complete disaster but supported by Dolan, who also interfered with the management that Dolan hired to run the team by interfering and trading away a great core for Carmelo Anthony, strictly for the Marque value.

The patience it took to build a team and mold it to your coaching philosophy takes months and sometimes even years. You select certain talent based on the philosophy of offensive ball movement, and
CARMELO ANTHONY
the defense to support it. You go get only certain types of players to fit the mold.

Once they are mostly in place like the Knicks had, struggling with the salary cap, and some bonehead comes along and upsets that chemistry, taking away key part like Daniello Gallinari who was fitting into the scheme.

As far as the rumor that Carmelo Anthony wants to be traded, don’t be fooled, D’Antonio is gone, he wants to be James Dolan’s baby, he’s going nowhere at least until the contract is up.

That’s all I wrote, folks!

Will return on the 20th.
