13 TEAMS
DOTEL |
New York … Houston … Oakland … New York again … Kansas City … Atlanta … Chicago … Pittsburgh … Los Angeles … Colorado … Toronto … St. Louis and Detroit!
Octavio Dotel has played for 13 different teams in his career, setting a record for one player. Talk about journeymen, this guy has seen it all on both coasts and the heart land of America.
"I've been all over the place," he says. "I've been in every league. Every division, too: West, Central, East. National League -- boom, boom, boom. American League -- boom, boom, boom."
He’s been traded six times and changed teams as a free agent the other six times.
ANTHONY |
TRADE MELO
The papers are all talking about trading Carmelo Anthony because there seems to be no chemistry on the floor with Lin. That is a lesson boys and girls to be learned when you trade for someone and you are the owner, not the GM or even the coach. It’s not Carmelo’s fault that there is no chemistry, it doesn’t work, it is James Dolan’s. Can you trade an owner?
NY RANGERS
The Rangers continue to dominate the league, standing alone in their division and with the second most points in the NHL. Only the St. Louis Blues hold more total points. The key to success on the ice is, once you get there, you play no matter who owns the building, and the rangers prove that with a excellent record on the road at: 20-11-5!
What I miss the most is that the Bruins play in the Northeast Division, and so the rivalry is not what is used to be. It was great for hockey and great for the fans. Frankly, the Atlantic Division would be better if they took Pittsburg out and put the Bruins in.
VANCOUVER
Canucks hockey seems to have taken off, as they seem to be on their way to perhaps a Stanley Cup. Mired in a slump right now, the Vancouver Canucks have probably not earned a day off, but they could use one. So coach Alain Vigneault did the smart thing and gave them two following Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canucks have only two wins in their past seven games.
That’s all I wrote, folks!
