TIBOW TRADED TO NYJETS FOR FOURTH ROUND PICK!

ESPN is reporting former UF quarterback Tim Tebow has been traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets for a fourth-round draft choice.
Tebow became the subject of trade rumors as soon as the Broncos signed free agent Peyton Manning to a five-year, $96 million contract, even though Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs last season.

IS THIS GOOD NEWS?

The Mets get off the hook on paying a billion in punitive damages and payback, and so I have to wonder, is this good for Mets fans? If Sterling Equities had been made to pay up, the hope was that the Wilpons would sell the team to an interested owner looking to win. Now the fans are stuck with the same management, and years of futility. Maybe, just maybe they can change things.

The issue is the attitude now, what will they do to bring back the fans? Already the injury bug has hit and there seems to be no end to their losing, even in spring training. In their first 14 games they are 3-11, not a good sign even for spring training. Pelfrey seems lost out there as no one seems to know what to work on, more speed on his fast all or his changeup.

SHORTENED SEASON RUNNING SHORT

There’s only about 16 to 18 games left for most teams in the NBA in a shortened season growing shorter. The Atlantic division looks uncertain, as the 76er’s, Celtics and yes, even the Knicks look like they could win this division!

In the Southeast division, Orlando and Miami both look like the only winners with Miami holding the lead by a healthy 5 games or so.

The Southwest with San Antonio Memphis and Dallas all looking pretty, this one is unsettled too.

The Pacific looks the most exciting with the Lakers, Clippers and Phoenix Suns all in the running.

CONGRATULATIONS NY RANGERS!

Beating their cross-river rivals the New Jersey Devils, the Rangers clinched the first play-off spot in the NHL. They are the class of the league and the Garden may be seeing another Stanley Cup!

That’s all I wrote, folks!
