JEREMY LIN JOINS THE INJURED

Linsanity has come to an end this season for New York Knick fans. Jeremy Lin had an MRI exam this week revealing a small, “chronic meniscus tear” and has elected to have surgery next week in New York. The point guard revealed the news at a press conference and the disappointment was evident in his face.

This is a great story that should have finished on a higher note, coming from obscurity to electrify the whole world! The first American born Chinese or Taiwanese to play in the NBA, one February day got up off the bench was given extended minutes on the floor, and never looked back.

The Knicks as you know are not a well-run organization with Dolan owning it. The proud old franchise, the backbone of New York City pride since the late 40’s has lost it’s personality and in many ways its dignity with Dolan owning it.

But Jeremy Lin gave the fans something to cheer about, ignited the world0-wide Asian community and most white, black AND Asian fans got caught up in the mania. If the Knicks make it at all to the playoffs, they owe it to Lin and Baron Davis who will have to shoulder the load.

ANTHONY DAVIS

If you want to sum up the Final Four, all I can say is Anthony Davis. I could say Kansas, but really folks, it was Anthony Davis vs. Louisville, and Louisville came up short!

As he proclaimed on the floor in the final seconds, as the ball lifted high toward the ceiling: “This is my stage!” And indeed it was his stage, and he staged the game of his life so far. The future #1 pick of the NBA just wrote his ticket to stardom, and wealth.

But the smile on John Calipari’s face is not because he knows he won a game against Pitino, or that he will win the final championship game, no, the smile on Calipari’s face is because Anthony Davis is only a freshman!

That’s all I wrote, folks!
