BASEBALL SEASON IS HERE

Most teams are now underway into the 2012 season. It is a long year and the prognosticators will be exploring every possibility. This time of year, every one has a chance to be a Cinderella team and win the World Series.

It seems to me that all teams are very close in talent if you look at it long term, and take into consideration injuries, banner years, comeback years and surprise years. Albert Pujols or Prince Fielder can go down just like Ryan Howard did, and affect the destiny of the team.

There are 4 teams in the American League that need to be watched for obvious reason, the Angels, Rangers, Tigers and Yankees. All four have a wealth of talent and anyone of the four may win it all.

In the National League, the Phillies, Cardinals are the only two teams I feel will be worth watching, with the Nationals and Marlins making noise but no show in the postseason.
REYES
FIELDER
RODRIQUEZ
DARVISH

There is a lot of money spent on free agents once again and long term. The players that I think need to be watched are: Alex Rodriquez, Prince Fielder, Yu Darvish and Jose Reyes. All four can be setups for disappointment.
A-Rod for the size of his contract and age, based on last year’s abysmal record, Prince Fielder based on his adjustment to the American League and big contract, Yu Darvish because OF $151 million spent on him by the Rangers and he has yet to play a Major League team yet and Jose Reyes for his fragile legs and health, always a question.
The Red Sox may need a revamp of a few positional players and some pitching, they can’t compete with the Yankees this year.
That’s all I wrote, folks!
