COLE HAMELS

The penalty for Cole Hamels is 5 days suspension! Why is it 5 days? Because he pitches every 5 days, and the Phillies will lose revenue if Cole Hamels doesn’t pitch! Cole Hamels has a false sense of what is responsible and what is right.

In his so-called sense of the old fashioned way to play baseball, he forgets that he impacts his fellow pitchers, one of which will lose a rest day and have to start a day earlier!

If Cole Hamels wants to be a throw back to the old days, maybe he should have stayed away from college, not wear shoes and chew tobacco! Maybe he should try pitching 9 innings like they did when men were men. Cole Hamels thinks he has the right to be a self-anointed teacher, policeman and/or judge meting out justice!

Hamels should have been heavily fined and suspended for the month of May at the least.

MIKE WOODSON

INTERIM COACH WOODSON

On Tuesday, both Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire  said they were in support of Woodson returning.

"Absolutely, absolutely," Anthony said. "If they're going to do it right now, or if they're going to wait until after the season, I would love to see him back.

"I support that. Everybody knows what he's done thus far since he's been here, the short period (of time) that he's had the head coaching job. There's no need to cut it off right now, we're kind of just getting started."

Said Stoudemire: "We had a great run so far. I think it's something that we can build on, for sure. I know as players, we all love his philosophy on both ends of the court. He has a good understanding and we all get along very well. So it would be great to build something solid, sooner than later."

If the Knicks don’t hire Mike Woodson for the next season as a head coach they have really missed the boat. The team was 18-6 under Woodson who took over for D’Antonio.

Woodson is a basketball man, who knows the game and also a coach who knows how to use his players and how to win. Dolan would be a bigger fool than I thought if he can’t do what is so obvious.

The New York Daily News reported Woodson in preliminary discussions with Dolan. Mike Woodson denies the talks ever existed, but be that as it may, they should sit down and talk.
