I’M A BELIEVER?

Tim Tebow, are you for real? Watching the Broncos finish in time against the Bears in Denver once again raises the question to me, do nice guys finish first? Somehow I just knew that he would find a way to get close enough to score. But one thing keeps going on in my mind, is it Tebow, or the offense that finds a way? I mean that last touchdown had to be possible because someone got free and alone in the corner, right? Maybe Denver’s offense is not getting the credit they deserve in all this.

SPEAKING OF WHICH

Houston pulls it off in the last seconds too, and gains a playoff berth for the first time in their history as a team. T.J. Yates played his own brand of miracle with a two seconds left TD pass to clinch the playoffs, and knock Cincinnati back and the help the Jets move into a playoff position they will need to hold onto with their remaining tough schedule. T.J. is a rookie, who is learning to be a veteran quickly!

A GIANT STRIDE

The New York Giants are proving my faith in them, as they determine their own fate. Another amazing finish for Mr. Manning, and the Giants won’t go away! The offense once again stepped up as the defense seems to disappear. The giants of football usually boast a great defense, yet these Giants don’t. Can they hold up the rest of the season?

TONEY DOUGLAS

Shows what hard work and dedication can do for a player. Seems like the Knicks are putting together as best they can. With the sign-and-trade acquisition of Tyson Chandler on Saturday, the Knicks are out of the market for a superstar point guard, so they are betting on Douglas to be able to handle that role — for now. The Knicks sacrificed experience and waived Chauncey Billups to make room for a pure center in Chandler, taking away the chance to get a superstar point guard and so, once again, they go to Douglas. From March 2 to March 10, Douglas filled in for the injured Billups, a stretch of 6 games, and came away with 4 victories! Can he keep that up over the whole 66 game season, or is this just a stopgap?
