ONLY 15 WEEKS TO GO

If you are a New York sports fan, you have to have mixed feelings; Euphoria in the baseball world and despair in the football world, dreaded anticipation for the basketball season and indifference for the hockey year to come.

You must be suspicious of the New England Patriot defense in that it gave up 14 points, when they were the only team on the field.

Meanwhile Opie Pennington almost breaks an ankle and the fans are euphoric. Hey Eric Mangia, take the hint, and get a quarterback in there before the season really gets out of hand. As Opie said to Eric: “Gosh Pa, they sure are big!”

The Yankees continue to tease the rest of the American League, it’s like they play with one hand counting their money behind their back and the other playing baseball.

Federer is just being Federer.

Big Blue was black and blue and bruised, how can they score that many points and still lose? If you throw out the weak defense against the run and the porous pass defense, they would look like the Jets with scoring. “It hurts” said coach Tom Coughlin said, “but there are 15 more games to go,” or is that give away?

Does anyone have 60 career titles at such a young age as Tiger Woods? What will he have after another 10 years? Incredible and unbelievable!

That’s all for now.
