USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll Released
NCAA Football Preseason Rankings 2012
It’s hard to fathom the idea of a NCAA poll, and Penn State is nowhere to be found! As sad as that is, life goes on and other decent colleges will all be in the dream for a national championship.
LSU is list
as the No. 1-ranked team heading into the new college football season! That
should be no surprise to a lot of people, meanwhile defending BCS national
champion, Alabama, comes in at No. 2. LSU edged ‘Bama by just 4 points, leaving
the question: Who really is #1?
Rounding out
the top five are: USC, Oklahoma
and Oregon, in that order. Even though the Trojans received 19 first-place
votes, one more than LSU, but the SEC takes preference over the Pac-12 when all
is said and done.
Boise State a
one-loss team from a season ago is at No. 22, while Georgia begins the New Year
ranked No. 6 despite even though they dropped four games in 2011! Ohio State
Buckeyes are a notable program missing from the preseason Top 25 in many years.
Every one else in the poll seems situated as they should be, with no surprises.
Looking
forward to the upcoming season and hopefully all the games will be close ones.
